Post 27- Google Drive

Google drive is a good tool to use as well. Very similar to word. Using this tool was great. I could not tell the Professor that I started on my paper I just forgot to bring it in. The professor can see all my work completed and my mistakes I made. It nice to know you can share the document with whomever you want to share it with. I really enjoyed learning about Google in general.




                                                              

Post 26- Class Wiki

The class wiki is a new tool I have never heard of. I thought the wiki was also a great tool to learn. The wiki is a great way to explore educational resources. The wiki is better than reading a book, this way we saw short videos on the assignment at hand. The class wiki provided visual learning. It also listed the blog roll and resources. I really enjoy the class wiki. The wiki is a great communication tool for me as a student.




                                       

Post 25- Blogging In Class

I knew about blogging or have heard about it, this is my first time experiencing. I really enjoy Blogging with my fellow classmate. This is a great tool to get some things off your chest. There are some very beautiful blogs. Some people have a lot to say and some people have too much to say. Not saying that to be mean, just saying there is a lot of knowledge. Some of the blogs are very entertaining and informational. I don't write much on my blogs but I enjoy writing it. I hope more teachers begin to use blogging in their classrooms. Blogging is a great way to get feedback. We had to write about thesis, something I don't like to do. The ones who do have knowledge on how to write a thesis gave excellent points that helped me a little bit more.

Post 24- Registration

I have not register for winter classes. I got an email saying I have not register. How can I register when there is no classes available on campus for the courses I need? I'm tried of taking online classes. I want to sit in a class listen to the professor and learn everything I can learn. I can meet new people. I guess I need to take a trip to my Advisor.

Post 23- Review from Document 1

The whole concept of getting the class involved with reviewing each other's document is brilliant. Who better to give your paper constructive criticism then your classmates. The feedback I got from document 1 gave me confident to do document 2. My classmates proofread my paper and made suggestions in the area they thought I should correct. I really enjoyed that.

Post 22- The Crazy @ Christmas

We are now at the final week. We are all getting ready for the holidays. Stores are crazy, the highways are crazy, and people are just crazy. The holidays seems to bring out the worse in people. You have people who work hard to provide for their families. Christmas comes and you want your kids to have a little something. Some one just comes and take that all away. Christmas is a time for giving, a time to celebrate the born of Christ. This holiday always bring out the worst in people. The holiday brings out those who will break in your house, will snatch your purse, will also hurt you. While shopping for Christmas gifts, the stores are extra crowded which is good for those who have jobs. The highways are different, it get to congested. What I'm trying to say in this message, Please Be Safe and Have a Wonderful Holiday.

Post 21 - Mr. Hamon

This class is almost over. I really enjoyed being in Mr. Hamon's class. I wish or hope South University employ more professor like him. I have another English class to take and I hope to see him again. He's a very nice man who I believe is truly blessed. Thank Professor Hamon for working with me, teaching me, and just being polite.

Post 20- Document 2

I want to say I had a blast writing document two, but really I had a few stumbling blocks. I was truly surprised about how much research there was about online and campus classes. The research part was simple this time but my main issue is writing. Maybe I did not attend class to know that I needed to write 1400 words for document two. I truly thought is was a thousand. I made it to a thousand. Well I hope the professor don't be to hard when using the rubric to grade my paper.

Post 19 -Thanksgiving

Thanksgving this year was a little different. All of my family here in South Florida went to visit my mom in Georgia. My mom made me feel so sad when I called her to say "Happy Thanksgiving". I know she wanted me to be there but she did not have to make me feel guilty about not being there. Other than that, my Thanksgiving was nice. I got things done. I relaxed, I also visit a few friends. I over ate but it was really nice.

Post 18- Kairos

Kairos is define as opportune time and/or place. My document 2 talks about which classes are better, the online classes or campus classes. Kairos of document 2 is now. Now is the time to discuss if online classes are better than campus classes or vice verse. If it's not talked about how will we know if there is a problem. To win this argument about the classes, Kairos is put into play to recognize the right time and place for making an argument.

Post 17 - Pathos

Pathos is an actual line experience. My document 2 is reflecting my experience with online classes and campus classes. With my personal experience I want to argue that one is better than the other. I want my audience to see or persuade them that we can make a difference, if we all have the same feelings.

Post 16- Ethos

The meaning of ethos is one's belief. In writing Document 2, it's my belief that campus classes are much better than online classes. I was just viewing classes available for registration. The majority of my class are offered online only. Even though I can stay at home and just log on, I truly feel I will learn more being taught something better than reading it. In document 2 I want to argue to the class that campus classes are better. I would like to get feedback or opinions to help with my document. If I'm just reading something I will forget just that quick, but if I'm taught something retain information better.

Post 15 - Doc2 Voice and Purpose

My Document 2 purpose is to argue that classrooms are better than Online classes. I am always eager  to learn. My best subject is math because I listen to the teacher teach and explain it and show me how to apply their teaching. Therefore I comprehend better. Online classes you read more, no one is giving directions. I struggle more doing this concept. When you are reading something you may easily get distracted. The distraction causes you to go back and read it over until you get it. I'm only voicing my opinion about the difference between the two classes based on my experiences.

Post 14 - Doc 2 Basic Argument

On document 2, I want to argue that classroom based settings are better than online classes. In this document I want to include the advantages of in classroom settings. I want to include why online classes may be benefical to some students. I also want to talk about the pros and cons of online classes. I'm still having some struggle in begining. In my head I know what I want to write about but putting it in words or on paper is still a struggle for me. I'm back at it again, brainstorming.

Post 13 - Researching Document 2

I am having troubles trying to find a title for Document 2. I have been taking a lot of online classes because classes on campus are not availble at the times I like. I did research for classes online in general. I found it to be very interesting that to know when online classes generate. I wanted to find more history of who designed the online classes. Online classes is a good way to earn college credits. Do you really learn something by taking online classes? I like a classroom setting, I think I can obtain more by hearing the lecture better than reading a lecture. There is one online class I was having problems with and I got an "F", Introduction to Finance. I will have to retake this class. I have this wierd thing about Accounting and I want to know all I need to know. The classes pretaining to Accounting or Business I rather take them in the classroom to grasp everything.

Post 12- Illogical Thinking

Illogical thinking, we usually think of not thinking rationally. It's believed that some people can not make a connection between different statement. For example some people think if an unidentified object flies and hit them in the face, that person may think the sky is falling. By the object hitting that person in face, that person immediately drawn a conclusion that the sky was falling. We all may draw conclusions if we don't have all the information. The documents we are arguing about, we should think logical in order to convince our fellow students that what we are writing about make sense and the facts giving are true.

Post 11 - Logical Fallacy

The election is an example of logical fallacy. The candidacy was just an illusion. This government will never change. The debate between the candidacy for Governor was to help make up your mind to who you should vote for. It was just war between two men that probably are friends but want us to believe they are enemies. A lot of people did not vote because they felt like it didn't matter because who won was going to win anyways. The gas prices are an example of a logical fallacy, I think they only lowered the prices because of the election. I'll give it to the first of December and the prices will rise again.  Another four years. Please help us!

Post 10 Document 2

Document two's assignment is to write 1400 word paper about issues you are currently have from another class. What happens if you do not have another class? My argument in Document one was about class scheduling because classes I need to take are not offered during times I need. Therefore, what happens or what do I write about if I do not have any other classes?

Post 9 Writing Document 1

I hope everyone did well on Document 1. I hope I got an excellent grade on. Knowing that you are getting graded on something you write makes you very nervous. You wonder if the whole essay make sense. You wonder if your point was perceived correctly. It's nice to know that if you do receive a bad grade, you have the opportunity to tweak your document to obtain extra points. Well my fellow  students better luck on Document 2.

Post 8- Writing a Thesis

A thesis statement focuses on the idea of the paper you are writing about. How to begin is the problem. You have so much jumping around in your head but how to you transform it to paper or to a word document? The thesis statement should tell the reader what you writing about. When you begin writing you want to say, it comes out just like you speak. Bad grammer is the word. I want to convience my readers that this university need to offer more night classes that benefit students who are in other programs besides nursing. This fall quarter I'm in one night class. The problem is the other classes I need to take are not offered during night hours. How do I transform this into a thesis statement? Signed Clueless.. Thats me.

Post 7- Evaluating Peers

I'm very nervous evaluating my fellow classmates' paper. I will have to read what the writer writes and clarified if there argument about the topic persuaude me or comment that I'm not reachable. I think I'm capable of just proofreading. As far a me being a writer, I get stuck on writing about things. I don't know where to begin and I shut down. In saying that to evaluate someone by not saying great job, I have to go more into details to ask questions and to give comments. All topics chosen for document one are great topics to talk about. Now it's time for me to read and grade. Good luck everyone.

Post 6 - Document Topic

The research for the topic of night scheduling is harder than I thought. When researching in google I found more things about game scheduling and high school scheduling. I'm sure that this may be a great topic one day to discuss for students who desire to take more night classes if offered. My research is due and I need more sources.

Post 5- Authority

Our brain is a tool which holds a lot of information. In saying that writing begins from the knowledge you store in your brain, your thoughts. When writing with authority you give a verifiable details of events or knowledge. Authority is focus on the writer. Writing with authority gives you power over your readers. The writer is in control as the thoughts or research is written. You read what the writer writes and you believe that the information is true, gives the writer authority of what is written.

Post 4- Document 1

My topic for Doc.1 is about night scheduling. My reason for choosing this topic is based on having more night classes to fix my needs towards receiving my degree. I had to take most of my classes online. I did not do well in my Introduction to Finance class, actually I received an "F". Introduction to Finance is offer on campus but only during the morning hours. I will have to retake this class in order to graduate. I think online classes are okay but some of the classes I need to listen to the lecture in order to grasp what is being taught. I wanted to write about night scheduling in hopes to make a difference for myself and others who wants to succeed and in hopes of expressing my concerns to South University to fulfill the needs of their students.

Post 3 - Document 1 Topic

The presentations given during class was very interesting. Each group gave you information that was very helpful and made you think about it. Both presentation about the Bookstore was informative. I usually rent books if needed. I did not realize that a lot of students has concerns about the pricing of the books. I understand the concerns of the students far as buying something you may not use again. I feel like scheduling more night classes are important also. For example I'm majoring in Business, I need to take Accounting III. It's offered but not at night. I understand teachers are limited but the school agenda is to provide or help me seek an education.

Post 2 - A recent argument

I had an argument with a co-worker, she wanted me to handle a personal matter for her boyfriend. I refused to do what she asked, she said " I hope the same thing happens again to your car". My son was in a accident recently in my car, a vehicle forced him off the road and causing the axle to break on my car. I thought her comment was not caused for and very cruel. I let that comment affect my whole day but I had to interact with her because we have to work together. Therefore I went through my day upset but nice. I really wanted to clock out and punch her in mouth. I am very thankful for changes in my life and thankful for maturity.

Post 1- Experience At South University

South University should offer more night programs for those who are working and is not enrolled in a nursing program. South University inform there students of events that will take place on campus, I think that is nice. The school can make my experience with interacting with other students or faculty members by having their picnics on Saturdays instead of during the week, at times I can not attend. If I had more Professors like Mr. Hamon would be a pleasure. South University should add a cafe or small restaurant that serve sandwiches or salads for those who come from work and get home late. Also South University can improve on their computer systems or browsers.
